Out of the Ordinary team-building experiences are designed for today’s organisational context, shaped by digital transformation, uncertainty, volatility and the coexistence of four generations in the workplace.
Competitive advantage increasingly depends on people who can recognise opportunities, think beyond the obvious and combine boldness with practical action.
Our goal is to create experiences that leave a lasting impact on both memory and the way people work together.

We can create a tailored sensory journey aligned with your development and collaboration objectives.

What Is the "Out of the Ordinary" Corporate Team-Building Experience?
Out of the Ordinary is a sensory team-building experience delivered over a full day, surrounded by the fragrances of oud, neroli and orange blossom, or immersed in the music of Bach, Mozart, Brahms and jazz.
These experiences reveal how teams think, collaborate and innovate.
Each programme helps participants to:
- build a shared language and stronger alignment around objectives
- encourage listening and constructive dialogue
- appreciate different thinking styles and approaches
- strengthen ownership and shared accountability
- stimulate lateral thinking for innovation and problem solving
- practise adopting multiple perspectives while observing the business and its context
Innovative Team-Building Experiences for Organisations
Out of the Ordinary consists of two sensory experiences built around different languages yet sharing the same purpose: helping teams reinterpret their context, see their organisation from a fresh perspective and reactivate connections between people.
The programmes were created by Federica Tabone in collaboration with two internationally recognised Italian professionals:
Maestro Giorgio Fabbri, Orchestra Conductor, for the Sound & Symphony experience
Claudia Scattolini, Fragrance Designer, for the Essence & Fragrance experience
Would you like to understand which sensory experience is best suited to connect different departments?
Together we can identify the format that best fits your context, objectives and desired experience.
Musical Team Building
A guided journey through music.
Using the theoretical framework developed by orchestra conductor Giorgio Fabbri, participants explore parallels between the compositional structures of Bach, Mozart and Brahms and different business strategies.
The objective is to increase awareness of existing business models while stimulating new ideas and strategic thinking.
Through this experience, participants discover whether their organisation’s strategy resembles:
· Bach — the specialist
· Mozart — the explorer
· Brahms — the innovator
· Jazz — adaptive improvisation and contextual responsiveness
During a guided debrief, teams reimagine products, services and business strategies through the lens of each compositional approach: specialisation, diversification and innovation.
Team Olfactory
Corporate Fragrance Teamwork
An olfactory experience designed to shape team identity through the creation of a bespoke fragrance developed collectively by the group.
Guided by Fragrance Designer Claudia Scattolini, the day becomes a shared reflection on how the team perceives the organisation and how it wishes to be perceived by clients, stakeholders and the market.
Fragrance becomes an unexpected yet powerful tool for creating a common language and strengthening belonging.
Participants enter a sensory laboratory where they explore the structure of fragrance through more than twenty pure essences, experiencing and discussing them live before creating a scent that represents the organisation’s brand identity. Top, heart and base notes become metaphors for different dimensions of corporate identity.
Why Does Creative Team Building Work?
Working through the senses allows people to step outside their habitual ways of thinking and observe their team from a different perspective.
Elements such as empathy, interpretation, strategy, coordination and communication become more visible and easier to explore collectively.
Out of the Ordinary is particularly effective when organisations want to engage people through sensory experiences that generate reflection, awareness and learning that can be transferred into everyday work.
Who Is This Experiential Team-Building Programme For?
Out of the Ordinary is designed for organisations and teams that want to explore their identity and better understand the processes that influence collective performance.
These include:
· decision-making styles
· conflict management approaches
· leadership patterns
· trust within the group
· sense of belonging
· communication flows
The programme is particularly valuable for:
- teams seeking to strengthen listening, collaboration and coordination
- organisations looking for team-building activities that create a genuine impact on skills and group dynamics
- teams wanting to move beyond routine and experiment with new ways of relating and communicating
- organisations seeking to develop critical thinking, distributed leadership, emotional intelligence and adaptability
What Makes This Italian Team-Building Experience Unique?
Out of the Ordinary combines sensory experience with organisational learning in a format that takes teams beyond everyday routines.
Sight, smell and hearing awaken the senses and stimulate an open mindset, encouraging creativity, shared problem solving and stronger connections between different generations.
Music and fragrance are not decorative elements.
They are tools that help people observe more clearly how they listen, interpret, coordinate and create meaning together.
A further distinctive element is the Visual Psychology® Method.
The experience is made visible through visual summaries that accompany the theoretical input, the team experience itself and the debriefing process.
Would You Like to Bring Out of the Ordinary to Your Organisation?
Let’s design a sensory experience aligned with your team’s objectives.
Many team-building activities are remembered simply as enjoyable moments.
The Visual Psychology® approach is designed to make experiences memorable and transformative, combining playfulness with reflection to create meaningful and lasting connections.
Each programme begins with a sensory experience and progresses towards an exploration of team dynamics.
The experience is translated into visual and symbolic representations that help participants see what is happening within the team: roles, relationships, potential, innovation capacity and critical thinking in action.
Every programme concludes with a visual summary that captures the journey and the insights that emerged, leaving the group with a tangible memory of the experience.
Sensory experiences that help people understand how to improve together.
