An organisation is not built on organisational charts and processes. It is built on people who speak to one another every day, sometimes misunderstand each other, sometimes communicate perfectly and, above all, make decisions. It is within this invisible space between roles that much of an organisation’s success is determined.

Organisational psychology explores how thoughts, emotions, beliefs, culture and behaviour influence people’s working lives and the way organisations function.

In other words, it is the discipline that helps create workplaces where people and organisations can perform, develop and thrive.

As an organisational psychologist, I observe individual and team dynamics, support change processes and facilitate communication between people and organisations.
My approach combines the depth of psychology with the clarity of visual thinking, creating a method that helps people see and understand what is happening within teams, roles and organisational processes.

What Is Organisational Psychology and Why Does It Matter?

Organisational psychology is a branch of psychology that focuses on people at work and the systems in which they operate. Through observation, assessment and active listening, it helps organisations and individuals to:

  • improve collaboration and internal communication
  • understand and develop individual capabilities
  • manage organisational change, including change management and digital transformation
  • promote organisational wellbeing
  • prevent conflict and workplace stress

Within organisations, organisational psychologists do far more than observe. They design practical interventions that strengthen relationships, improve performance and foster a positive working environment.

What Does an Organisational Psychologist Do?

The work of an organisational psychologist may include:

  • assessing and developing individual capabilities through psychological assessments and interviews
  • providing organisational consulting for HR professionals and managers
  • designing learning, development and coaching programmes
  • analysing team dynamics and decision-making processes
  • supporting leadership development and digital transformation

In my own work, these areas are integrated with the visual language of the Visual Psychology® Method, an approach that makes thoughts, relationships and organisational dynamics visible so they can be understood more easily.

My Approach: Where Psychology Meets Visual Thinking

After more than twenty years working with Italian and international organisations, together with my experience as a Graphic Recorder, I realised that visual language can become a powerful psychological tool.
Drawing ideas and organisational processes helps people to:

  • clarify their thinking
  • build a shared understanding
  • encourage meaningful dialogue
  • make abstract concepts tangible

Through the Visual Psychology® Method, I create visual syntheses using drawings, keywords and visual metaphors to support change management, coaching and organisational learning.
It is a way of connecting logic with imagination, analytical thinking with creativity, the present with the future, and constraints with new possibilities.

  • corporate organisations seeking to strengthen collaboration and navigate organisational change
  • managers and teams wishing to develop leadership and interpersonal capabilities
  • Learning & Development professionals and HR Business Partners looking to introduce innovative approaches into leadership and development programmes

I work internationally, supporting multicultural teams across multiple countries, including through expatriate coaching programmes.

My Journey as an Organisational Psychologist

I have worked as an organisational psychologist for more than twenty years, supporting organisations and individuals through change, development and organisational transformation.
Throughout my career, I have worked with more than 6,000 people in team development programmes, leadership training and the facilitation of strategic meetings, with a particular focus on team dynamics, communication and collaboration.

My professional specialisation emerged from combining organisational psychology with visual thinking. I have delivered more than 160 Visual Coaching programmes for managers and leaders, integrating visual synthesis with behavioural assessment tools to make decision-making and relationship dynamics easier to understand.

In 2015, I completed a Master’s degree in Systemic Group Therapy, which further strengthened my understanding of complex systems and organisational relationships.
Since 2020, I have been an Adjunct Lecturer at the University of Padua, where I teach organisational psychology and visual methodologies within international postgraduate programmes.
